Andreina Leal-Carrillo – CEO and Co-Founder
Andreina Leal-Carrillo’s story is one of resilience, passion, and breaking barriers. Born in Oakland to immigrant parents, Andreina grew up in a household that valued hard work and perseverance. Her father, an HVAC and appliance business owner, taught her the ins and outs of running a company from a young age. As a child, she became his translator, bookkeeper, and problem solver, learning the value of integrity and dedication in every task.
But Andreina’s dreams went beyond the family business. Fueled by her passion for creating opportunities and building something of her own, she pursued a career in marketing and business development, combining her natural leadership skills with her entrepreneurial spirit. Along the way, she met her match – someone who shared her love for family, community, and a commitment to making a difference.
As a mother to a child with special needs, Andreina’s drive comes from her deep love for her family and her desire to create a world where every individual has opportunities to thrive. Her involvement in her community, from serving on the board of a nonprofit to advocating for the special needs community, reflects her belief in giving back. Today, as the CEO of The Repair Tech, Andreina combines her professional expertise and personal values to lead the company with transparency, compassion, and a relentless dedication to exceeding expectations.
Emmanuel Carrillo – Co-Founder
A San Diego native, Emmanuel Carrillo is the heart and soul of The Repair Tech’s operations. Raised by hardworking immigrant parents, Emmanuel grew up immersed in his father’s handyman business. He spent weekends alongside his dad and brothers, learning the value of craftsmanship, the pride of a job well done, and the importance of serving the community.
Emmanuel’s passion for the trades eventually led him to pursue a degree in architecture, but life had other plans. When he met Andreina in high school, everything changed. She introduced him to the world of HVAC and appliances through her father’s business, and a new passion was sparked. With her encouragement and his natural talent for construction and problem-solving, Emmanuel found his place in the industry.
Outside of work, Emmanuel is a devoted husband and father who thrives on adventure and family time. Whether he’s riding buggies in the sand dunes or supporting his children’s passions, Emmanuel brings the same dedication and energy to his personal life as he does to his work. Though a San Diego native, his loyalty lies with the Raiders – a trait that makes him all the more unique.

As they fell in love, Andreina introduced Emmanuel to her family’s HVAC and appliance business. With a desire to build their own legacy, they branched off from Andreina’s father’s business to create The Repair Tech. Andreina brought her marketing and business expertise, while Emmanuel contributed his technical skills and hands-on experience. Joe A. Winn III
HVAC & Appliance Technician
Joe’s path into the trades started in an unexpected place: restaurant kitchens. While working in food service, he found himself constantly chatting with the HVAC and appliance techs who came in for repairs — fascinated by how these systems worked and inspired by the idea of a hands-on career outside the kitchen. That curiosity eventually became his calling.
At The Repair Tech, Joe loves the family-style atmosphere where everyone genuinely supports one another. Whether it’s troubleshooting a tricky system or navigating the ever-evolving world of HVAC and appliances, he appreciates being part of a team where accountability, learning, and growth are the norm.
With a diverse background across multiple industries, Joe brings a unique perspective to how people use (and sometimes misuse!) their appliances and home systems. His goal is always the same: to help wherever he can and bring calm, solutions, and clarity to situations that feel overwhelming for customers.
Outside of work, Joe is all about Pokémon Go adventures, watching sports, and hunting down new vegan spots around town. A proud Aquarius from the South, he’s big on continuous learning and doing meaningful work that reflects positively on himself and the company.
His best advice for homeowners?

Isabel Pabloff
Business Development Representative & Community Outreach Coordinator
Isabel joined The Repair Tech in early 2025, bringing her passion for people, partnership-building, and community connection into the world of HVAC and appliances. What drew her to this industry—and to The Repair Tech specifically—was our commitment to transparency, honesty, and genuine customer care. For her, representing a company with real heart made the decision easy.
Isabel thrives in environments where collaboration matters, and that’s exactly what she loves most about The Repair Tech. She’s part of a team that values integrity, professionalism, and doing things the right way, every time. Whether she’s connecting with homeowners, partnering with local chambers, or representing the company at community events, she brings warmth, structure, and a thoughtful, organized presence.

Ana is one of the powerhouse multitaskers behind the scenes at The Repair Tech. With over five years of experience in the construction industry and two years in HVAC, she brings a strong foundation, genuine curiosity, and a passion for the trades to everything she does. Learning new skills comes naturally to her, and that eagerness to grow is one of the many reasons she’s such a valued part of our team.
At The Repair Tech, Ana’s days involve coordinating schedules, dispatching technicians, ordering parts, and making sure the office runs smoothly. Her favorite part of the job? The friendly, supportive environment. She loves being part of a workplace where everyone helps each other, works as a team, and keeps the day feeling anything but boring. To Ana, the camaraderie here truly feels like family.
One of her biggest strengths is being cross-trained across the office. She’s quick to learn, quick to adapt, and always ready to streamline a process or jump in wherever she’s needed. Her ability to handle tasks independently keeps things moving efficiently and ensures our technicians—and customers—are always supported.
Outside of work, Ana’s world is full and vibrant. She’s a proud mom of six amazing kids and a college student studying criminal justice. Between family, school, and work, she’s basically a professional multitasking champion.

Armando Mendoza
Appliance Technician (Expanding into HVAC)
Armando has been working with appliances for seven years and has become one of The Repair Tech’s most detail-oriented and dependable technicians. He started in the trade at just seventeen years old, and over time he’s developed a strong foundation in diagnostics, repairs, and customer communication. His talent for reading schematics and explaining repairs in a clear, approachable way makes him a favorite among customers and teammates alike.
Since his original submission in early 2022, Armando has continued to level up — now actively training in HVAC and proudly earning his EPA certification (with The Repair Tech cheering him on every step of the way!). His commitment to growth is one of the many reasons he’s such a valuable part of our team.
What Armando loves most about working at The Repair Tech is the supportive, family-oriented environment. He appreciates being part of a team that cares deeply about doing things right, helping customers feel taken care of, and pushing each other to improve every day.

His journey into the trades began after serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he specialized as an electrician — a foundation that makes him exceptionally skilled at diagnostics, troubleshooting, and understanding the inner workings of complex systems.
What originally inspired Jacob to pursue this field still holds true today: he loves hands-on work, solving problems, and helping people feel safe, comfortable, and confident in their homes. And at The Repair Tech, he found a team that cares just as deeply about customers as he does.
Jacob’s favorite part of working here is the supportive environment. He values being surrounded by teammates who work hard, communicate well, and always put the customer first. His friendly personality and strong teamwork skills make him a natural leader — someone clients trust and coworkers rely on.
Outside of work, Jacob is all about family. His free time is dedicated to his wife and children, who motivate him every day to keep learning, growing, and doing work he’s proud of.

A fun fact many customers don’t know is that during his time in the military, Jacob’s specialty was electrical work — a skillset that continues to influence his precision and attention to detail today.

Whether she’s helping a customer book an appointment or assisting the team behind the scenes, Rosa always shows up with a positive attitude and a willingness to help wherever she’s needed.
